S.D.I.’s Ce.Di. in Pastorano manages the logistics of the 33 Superò-SMA-branded outlets it owns. Stores upload their orders via an FTP site; management software developed on AS/400 by I.G. Italia, a software house in Naples, produces pick lists.
The role of vo-CE
The operator prepares orders guided by vo-ce. Picking activities are performed with LXE HX2 wearable devices with voice picking technology while all other activities (goods receipt, shipping, etc.) are carried out with LXE MX7 handheld terminals. The management software developed by I.G. Italia-to which vo-ce has been integrated-allows timely and constantly monitored management of the entire inbound and outbound flow (in addition to managing administration, suppliers and allowing integration with point-of-sale applications). The controls in the inbound and outbound phases are very stringent and it is therefore very difficult for an error to be generated.
